Linit Toughened

Linit 'tough' is a thermically tempered channel shaped glass, which is offered as standard for all Lamberts Linit types without wire inlays.

Thermically toughened 'Linit tough' meets the requirments laid down for cast glass in EN 14179-1 for tempered safety glass. Toughened Linit panels can also be used in forward facing facades or back ventilated exterior walls.

In accordance with EN 14179-1 for cast glass, significantly increased thermal shock resistance of 150K, compared to non-tempered glass (approx. 40K) such that, in standard cases, there is no risk of fracture due to increased thermic stresses such as from solar, or particularly in connection with transparent heat insulation.

In order to risk the fracture from nickel sulphite inclusions a Heat Soak Test is carried out in Lamberts heat soak furnace, specially designed for 'Lamberts tough' with external control testing at regular intervals.
